I have just returned from a shoot with Viktoriya at Carriageworks in Everleigh. It’s interesting to see how many ‘togs use that place as a sort of default for a portrait shoot. there were at least three groups of people there today.
This was the first non-candid portrait shoot i have done with the new camera (Canon EOS 5D MarkII) and i have to say i am quite impressed. although the flash sync speed didn’t go above 200 (i get almost 200, it cuts off just a tad at this speed), the extended low ISO setting let me get an extra stop there. I was using the good old Nikon SB24, and a METZ SCA 3000, but i had left my beauty dish behind, so for soft light i was stuck with the umbrellas. not an ideal situation, but i got some great shots anyway.
anyway, enough of that, let’s look at the photos shall we?
